"Coming back...

...to serve New Orleans."

That's what the banner over Camellia Grill says. The exterior is getting stripped in preparation for a new paint job.

Camellia Grill, New Orleans, getting a facelift, October 2006.

But so far, nothing going on inside.

Camellia Grill, New Orleans, interior appears untouched, October 2006.

That's okay. We probably don't want the inside to change anyway!

Word is it will reopen before the end of the year. I know a lot of locals, and visitors, are looking forward to it.

Well, I for one want the inside to change. I want the new owner to fix it up and clean it. The previous owner was using it as a cash cow.

And I want them to bring back the real cloth napkins.

Good to have finally met you, sir.

Thanks for this hopeful photo.

Vision to upgrade a place like this is a tricky proposition. I couldn't get it right myself.

Let's hope whoever is working on this does it justice.

Wow. I just viewed your daughter's video. (I couldn't figure out where to comment; sorry for this being off-topic.)

The ordinariness of it is so powerful.
