Leaders inspire us with vision.
Leaders help us to become more than we thought we could ever be.
Leaders show us how we as a community can be greater than the sum of our parts.
Leaders are in short supply in New Orleans right now--or are they?
I guess it depends where you look.

Tim,
It's not whether the leaders exist or not: it's about which avenues will be successful, and which mechanisms to use with the Public.
So many of us are tied up with so many things that time and energy is at a premium. Why should I waste my time on a majority that will not listen? Or a majority that will perjoritively not listen and instead fall back upon the voices that helped lead them to the impasse we see today?
This is the dilemma here in NOLA.
Remember back at the end of Rising Tide, when at Kim's party I stated the cause of our lack/destruction of wetlands for protections? Some thought I had my facts wrong, or that I had misunderstood reality. Recently they saw the light... Everything I stated was truth.
Politicians, governmental people and degreed scientists are considered the Gods of Knowledge, meanwhile, the neighbor next door may have all of the facts that one really needed in order to be informed.
